Your Endorphin Garage experience starts before you even step through the door! Once signed up, you should receive a welcome letter as well as an intake/history form. Completing the form allows us to know what to expect/prepare when you do come in, but also an opportunity for you to write out your thoughts on what might have caused it and how long has it been an issue.
First and foremost, dress comfortable! It's can already be intimidating going into a doctor's office, so we ask you to be comfortable, and attire that will allow easier access to affected body parts (i.e. not the best idea to wear long jeans if you need your hamstring looked at). Gym attire works best as it allows for great range of motion. If you forget appropriate clothes or need to change, we also have a bathroom you can change in as well as blinds to close for your privacy.
Your first visit starts with an general intake where we take your vitals and check your movement patterns. After that we investigate your primary issue to get a deeper understanding of what is going on and what could be causing it -- we then explain to you our findings and tailor a treatment plan that is unique to you. These usually last about an hour to an hour and a half.
We test range of motion from your neck all the way down to your ankles to get an idea of your mobility, then we move to your specific case and perform in-depth orthopedic and nerve assessment to rule in or rule out conditions to form a game plan on what would be the best course of treatment.
Though we might not have seen every condition under the sun, let alone treat them, we respect you and our scope of practice as chiropractors and will happily refer out to another provider if we believe that they will be able to treat your case more appropriately. We love and appreciate your business, but we would love to get you back to health more. :)
Range-of-motion assessment, affected area assessment, appropriate care (including chiropractic adjustment, soft tissue work, myofasicial decompression, scraping), whether or not the condition would benefit from shockwave treatment and some take home exercises and tips that reinforce the work from the treatment.
For most cases, follow-ups usually go once a week for the first 4 weeks, just to see how your body is responding to the care and if we need to adjust (pun intended) our approach to get you better faster. Once it looks like things have settled down and stabilized, we push to once every two weeks for month. This is to see how long the treatment lasts and stays. Once that is determined, then we can move on to maintenance care, which is once a month. But also keep in mind, this plan can vary depending on each individual patients needs and if anything happens during the time we don't meet.
If you have any further questions feel free to reach out or bring them with you to the office!
